A good starter photo for this type of engine. One of my favorite
photos. This is unit #7500, the first C40-8. It is still in the CSX
stealth paint scheme, and I do not think they will repaint it.
However, some of the other C40-8s have been repainted in the newer CSX
paint scheme. Taken in Newport News' yard near the main

Here are two photos of #7523 in Richmond's Fulton Yard. This unit
(as well as some others) have been repainted in the latest CSX paint
scheme. I caught this unit with the cab door open. In the second
photo, I caught the engineer getting off the engine when it
stopped. |
